Project Management for Change is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to provide the project management discipline to nonprofits to accelerate the realization of positive social outcomes. We are staffed entirely by volunteers.

Our Vision

We envision a world where the boundless potential of the Project Management discipline is unleashed to empower and transform communities around the world.

Our “Why”

A strong nonprofit sector is vital to maintain the health and vibrancy of our community. According to the IRS (as reported by usafacts.org), there were 1.97 million nonprofits operating in just the U.S. as of 2022! These charitable organizations often attempt to meet increased demands for services with few resources and limited funding. This situation compels many to operate without adequate professional guidance, capacity, or capabilities. Thus, many struggle to get their desired outcomes.

How we do it

We assist nonprofits through pro bono support provided by professional project managers to address nonprofits’ most pressing world-changing initiatives. We personally take the time to match each nonprofit with the right project managers to provide value-added services that help the nonprofit achieve its objectives.

Project management support is provided through two types of programs. At Project Management Day of Service® events in the Washington, D.C., region and around the world, multiple nonprofits receive support from project management volunteers during the timeframe of the event (usually a single day). In addition, our Continuous Value Delivery (CVD) program offers pro-bono project management support to individual nonprofits through short-term engagements (e.g., one engagement may last three months).
