Setting Up a Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS)® Event

PMDoS is GLOBAL, having replicated the one-day community service event that began in the DC/MD/VA area on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 19, 2015, and has since become an annual event. In answer to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s statement, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'"many across the country serve their communities on this and other days.

Check out this video as we explain the first event that took place on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2015.

The project management community, many who are Certified Project Management Professionals, respond to this call for service by providing pro bono project management services to nonprofit leaders. These project management services include project assessment, scoping, and planning that cover a particular area that is selected by the nonprofit. Previous nonprofit leaders have utilized services for strategic planning, or event and marketing plans.

We do the work in our core skill set so that these charitable and philanthropic organizations can more efficiently use their time to service those in need.

Since the inaugural event in 2015, the PMDoS event has been replicated by Project Management Institute (PMI) chapters and other organizations across the U.S. and around the world with coordination from Project Management for Change.
