Program Manager

The Program Manager oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of the ongoing PMDoS program including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.

The Program Manager will serve as the main point of contact and authority directly responsible for the successful operation of the Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS), and coordination of the Division heads of the Program Management Office (PMO).  The Program Manager will work with the COO of PM4Change to manage the relationship between Taproot and the DC area PM organizations, as well as, oversee the successful operation of the PMDoS.

The Program Manager will directly contribute to program efforts in several areas, including cost management/avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities. The Executive Manager will also ensure proper performance of tasks necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the PMDoS.

Responsibilities

  • In consultation with the Executive Director, recruit, interview and select well-qualified program staff
  • Develop a program management plan and schedule for the PMDoS to drive the execution of the program
  • Plan the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the PM4Change organization

PM Organization Liaisons

The PM Organization Ambassadors will serve as a functional project managers overseeing professional outreach to project management organizations (including corporate PMOs, PMI Chapters and other PM communities) by educating senior leadership within these organizations about PM4Change and PMDoS and helping them establish their own PMDoS.

Responsibilities

Project Coordinator

Human Resources (HR)

The Human Resources Group will oversee all Project Management for Change volunteer needs, including for the Project Management Day of Service signature event. The HR Team will coordinate volunteer requirements, vetting, on-boarding, and training. This includes preparation work in support of the PM4Change mission, vision, and values; PMDoS PMO and Event Day Volunteers (coordination of the activities of up to 600 Volunteers for the event day).

The Technology Group will oversee the PM4Change technology needs, as well as the event day and the activities leading up to the event for PMDoS; including, proactive management of key decisions, risk assessment and mitigation, issue escalation, and vendor management ensuring alignment across all organizational areas.

Historian / Biographer

The Historian Group develop and maintain documentation for the Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS) processes, procedures, approaches, and decisions. The team will develop the process for collecting the materials and building a library and a team of Historians to execute the documenting of processes.
