Project Management for Change is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in the DC area to help organizations specifically like yours achieve your most important goals.

Unfortunately, many nonprofits cannot afford to hire full-time project managers to come in and run their projects for the organization and that's where we come in. We work specifically with nonprofits that need help to launch their biggest initiatives and we do it all FREE to you, using experienced project management professionals that are passionate about making a difference in the communities they live and work in.

By joining with Project Management for Change (PM4C), your nonprofit will be able to receive pro bono professional services from your local Project Managers. We personally take the time to match every nonprofit with the right project manager(s) during our events, who will provide you with the necessary guidance for you to further your cause. We work with our Global Partners to teach them how to match their non-profits to the right project manager as well, furthering the goals of PMDoS around the world.

Project management Day of Service 2017

The US-based Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS) signature event, hosted by PM4Change in the DC area, PMI Hampton Roads in Virginia, and PMI New York City will be held on Martin Luther King Jr. Day - January 16, 2017. Our international PMDoS Global Partner, PMI Queensland Chapter (Australia), held their first wildly successful PMDoS event on International Project Management Day- Friday November 4, 2016.

At the DC17 PMDoS event, 400+ project managers will be paired with 100-200 nonprofits to discuss and diagnose a critical challenge that the nonprofits are facing, and then scope out a project to help address and overcome the issue.

As a nonprofit organization, you'll receive a number of benefits.

  • Get advice on your projects

  • Get Pro Bono Project Management Services

  • Raise awareness for your nonprofit

  • Get access to resources to support your nonprofit moving forward

The event is taking place from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at the University of Maryland (inside the beltway) on MLK Day, January 16, 2017.

Don't worry if you already have an event planned for the day, all you need to do is send one person that can talk about your project and we will help you get it started (or unstuck) so you can increase your community impact for 2017!

Registration for the Project Management Day of Service 2017 on January 16, 2017 is now CLOSED for nonprofits.
